When R* loses money that's when they will fix something. ![]() R* noticed people were spawning chests to get $, but it wasn't exactly the dollars that made them change how it worked, it was that hackers were also getting gold from it and that's where R* loses money outside of the game. The origin of the treasure chest hack dates to that reason. I'm not talking about scriptkiddies & cheaters I mean I think any reason to hack is a dumb one but yes it is one of the many dumb reasons hackers will hack. Look for a cellar entrance on the southwest corner of the building and head into the cellar to find the treasure. There's a large plantation northwest of Tumbleed and south of Gaptooth Ridge. The path isn't real clearly defined, but you'll find the treasure on it. Look for a path between two rocks at the edge that leads down the south-facing edge of the rock. You should find a camp site at the top, which lets you know you're in the right place. Travel to the top of the cliff overlooking the river at Del Lobo Rock. Look for the treasure under a pile of yellow stones. The treasure is found at the base of the two large rock formations that constitute The Hanging Rock. If he dies, loot his corpse to collect the map that leads to Rhodes' Treasure. The driver of the wagon is a treasure hunter - if he survives, he will gift you the map.
